Grace Bay Club

Eskimos have 20 words for the colour of snow, the islanders of the Turks & Ciacos Islans have at least 100 for the colour of their Caribbean sea. I dream for an eternity over a wild shining light blue which changes within seconds to an iridescent green. For a brief moment all the nuances melt into a near milky white, then classical turquoise in all its variations, a vibratig turquoise playfully changing tone and ranging through all conceivable shades.
Does the word "Turks" come from "turquoise"? Never befor have I seen such colour variations. This is an ever changing, live painting composed all known water colours, right up to the horizon. Here are shimmering circular peacock´s eyes serval miles in diameter with shining sandbanks grouped around them like clusters of the stars. And above it all a majestic sky, a sublime dark blue space. Islands, islets, 30 or 40 in all flash past as if them had been painted in opaque white on the blue Caribbean composition, like intervals in the drama of the ocean.
