Yet another marvellous hideaway has opened in the Maldives - the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa. Two islands in the South Ari atoll, Rangalifinolhu and Rangali Island, have been connected by a bridge. The Majorcan mountain village Puigpunyent remains to this day untouched by tourism. In the 15th century it was where the peasants and slaves lived who belonged to the mansion called Son Net on the hill above the village. Eventually an American businessman restored it with great sensitivity and created an hotel which is now a new gem amongst hotels. 

All in all, there are 21 spacious rooms and suites. The Grand Suite and the even langer Royal Suites over 1,600 square feet of space. Every Royal Suite has not only a wide terrace or a garden, but also its own cabana beside the Pool.
